Chavica

Our story

The internet should be
accessible to everyone.

Chavica was born from a simple frustration: why does it cost hundreds of thousands of Naira to have a website? We're here to change that.

The founder

Why I built Chavica

My name is Adejare Akolawole. I'm 20 years old, a software engineer, and the sole founder of Chavica.

I kept seeing the same problem everywhere around me — talented people with real businesses, real ideas, real products, but no website. Not because they didn't want one. Because they couldn't afford one. Developers were quoting ₦300,000, ₦500,000, even ₦800,000 for websites that, honestly, should cost a fraction of that.

At the same time, I saw the other side of the coin: developers who were building client sites but drowning in infrastructure costs — expensive hosting, overpriced domain registrars, unreliable cloud providers. The tools were either too cheap and terrible, or too good and unaffordable.

So I sat down and built Chavica — a platform where anyone can launch a professional website in minutes, get a real domain at fair prices, and manage everything from one dashboard. No middlemen. No inflated agency markups. Just a tool that works for the people who need it most.

I built this entire platform by myself — the editor, the payments, the domain system, the admin panel, the billing, all of it. Because I believe if you want something done right, sometimes you just have to build it yourself.

Our mission

Close the gap between
ideas and the internet.

We exist to give every creator, entrepreneur, and developer a professional presence online — regardless of their technical skill or budget. The internet was built to be open. We're making sure it stays that way.

What we stand for

Our values

Affordability First

We believe a great website shouldn't cost a fortune. Whether you're a student, a small business owner, or a freelancer just starting out — you deserve professional tools at fair prices.

Built for Everyone

You shouldn't need a computer science degree to have a website. Chavica is designed so anyone — from a restaurant owner in Kano to a fashion brand in Lagos — can publish online in minutes.

Radical Simplicity

We remove everything that doesn't need to be there. No bloat, no jargon, no subscription fees hidden behind paywalls. Just a clean tool that works.

Developer-Friendly Too

Ironically, developers are also underserved. Hosting costs, domain fees, and infrastructure overhead eat into every project. Chavica gives devs a fast deployment path for client sites without the overhead.

Transparency

Our pricing is public. Our policies are plain English. We tell you exactly what you're paying for and why. No dark patterns, no gotchas.

Speed Above All

Sites built on Chavica are fast by default. Optimised assets, global CDN delivery, and lean templates mean your visitors don't wait — they convert.

The journey

How we got here

2024

Idea born out of frustration — watching clients get overcharged ₦500,000 for simple websites that Adejare could build in a weekend.

Early 2025

First version of Chavica built solo. Drag-and-drop editor, templates, and subdomain publishing all working.

Mid 2025

Integrated Paystack for local payments and added domain registration — making Chavica the first Nigerian website builder with end-to-end domain purchasing.

Late 2025

Launched publicly. First 100 sites built on the platform.

2026

Chavica reaches 10,000+ sites. Business and Enterprise plans launch. Admin financials dashboard and multi-plan billing go live.

2026

Moved billing to Bachs to go cross-border — Chavica now accepts payments from creators and businesses worldwide, not just Nigeria.
